School

Doing missions and building a powerful prayer life is the application to what you will learn in a classroom setting for a few hours a day. The classroom is where you will learn the principles to be an effective evangelist. The curriculum includes:

Missions Philosophy

This course explores and surveys various past, present, and emerging missional techniques and strategies exercised in the mission field. A careful examination of doctrinal and cultural values and how they have affected the progress of world evangelism locally and globally will be addressed. Keys to successfully adapting to various mission environments will also be discussed.

Missions History
Emphasis is placed on two to three of the most prolific missionaries in Christian History. Course will survey their history, uniqueness and impact on local and global mission efforts. Course will also address their powerful influence on both cultural Christianity and secular society.

Prayerful Living
Focusing on spiritual disciplines, intimacy with God, and character development, this course helps students adopt a vital attitude and dependency on the power of prayer into the character of their everyday lives. Students will be challenged to view and implement a prayerful lifestyle that God will both honor and bless.

Building Powerful Teams
Course is designed to facilitate communication and encourage unity among members of the MAPS student body. Students will engage in constructive activities with other team members in order to build significant networks of prayer warriors and supporters for a life of missional living.
